Ale Galán/Fede Chingotto triumph for the first time together
With the numbers 6-4, 6-7, 6-2, Ale Galán/Fede Chingotto won over the first seeds, Arturo Coello/Agustín Tapia, in the final of Premier Padel P2 in Brussels. In an even and sometimes dramatic match, Ale Galán/Fede Chingotto seemed a bit fresher than their opponents, and they were able to take home their first tournament win as a pair.
1 set. Something was brewing from the start of the set. A very long first game ended with Ale Galán/Fede Chingotto breaking their opponent's serve. Tapia looked tired initially but managed to pick himself up and showed why many consider him the world's best player. Ale Galán/Fede Chingotto held their serve for the rest of the set and won 6-4.
2 set. Ale Galán/Fede Chingotto had two break points at 3-3. They missed both of them but played for a third, which they took advantage of, 4-3. At 5-3, they had three match points but could not capitalize on the opportunity. At 5-4, Arturo Coello/Agustín Tapia broke back. A dramatic game and, among other things, included a controversial ruling and a warning to a frustrated Arturo Coello. It ended in a tiebreak as Arturo Coello/Agustín Tapia won 7-4 and thus the set 7-6.
3rd set. Ale Galán/Fede Chingotto returned strongly and broke Arturo Coello/Agustín Tapia's first serve. They dominated the set and broke again in the last game of the match, winning 6-2.
