Bea González/Delfi Brea wins in Brussels
With 6-4, 6-4 in an hour and 50 minutes long - very intense - final Bea González/Delfi Brea secured victory in the Premier Padel P2 in Brussels over Gemma Triay/Claudia Fernández.
1st set: Gemma Triay/Claudia Fernández received an early warning for spending too much time talking between duels, and it was the most eventful part of the first set. In very long and evenly matched duels, both sides held their serve until Bea González/Delfi Brea broke the opponents' serve and took a 4-3 lead before the side won 6-4.
2nd set: This time, Bea González/Delfi Brea broke the opponents' serve in the first game of the set and then won their own game cleanly. They broke again to 5-2. Although Gemma Triay/Claudia applied pressure towards the end of the set, Fernández never really found their footing and ended up losing 3-6.
The event took place at Gare Maritime in Brussels, the Belgian capital, and on the final weekend, it was full.
Gare Maritime has hosted the World Padel Tour in previous years. This was the third year in a row that the Belgian city would host the stars, although it was the first time under the leadership of Premier Padel.
The tournament was a P2 event, meaning that the champions would receive 500 ranking points. Finalists will receive 300 points, semi-finalists 180, and quarter-finalists 90. P2 tournaments are the lowest-ranked events within Premier Padel, which means they award fewer points.
