The king gets a pat on the butt when he makes a mistake in Padel
The Danish King Frederik has become a padel enthusiast and goes all in with a singer and a former football star
The Danish King Frederik is good friends with the Danish pop star Christopher. In a new interview with the magazine Euroman, the musician says they form a pair in Padel.
Christopher often plays the game with the king, resulting in a very friendly relationship.
"So I just call him Frede and give him a pat on the butt when he makes a mistake," he says.
Very interested in sports
King Frederik, who succeeded his mother, Queen Margrethe, in January, is very interested in sports as a spectator and an active participant. He runs, cycles, and swims; in the winter, he speeds off on cross-country skis. Like many other Danes, he has recently fallen in love with Padel.
Among the Padel friends are the former top football player Michael Laudrup and his son Mads Laudrup, who is a TV host but also a former professional footballer—and not least, a very skilled Padel player. Unlike many other Danish padel players, he became acquainted with the game at a young age, namely when his father was a professional soccer player in Spain.
